Spirit Chronicles: Healing Breath of My Guardian Angel

I have had a bad back for several years and lately it has gotten much worse. I have sciatica and lower back muscle issues that keep me from sleeping comfortably most nights. This also limits what I can do physically and was one of the main reasons that I retired from coaching football a few seasons ago. I would hurt really bad after three days of practice and by Thursday and Friday night Football games. I had gotten to the point lately that it was getting harder and harder to function in getting things I needed to do done daily. I began to pray about healing and asking God for healing back a few weeks ago.

I was sincere in seeking his grace and healing and waited patiently. A week ago I was asleep and was dreaming a nice dream about heaven and God. I was suddenly laying on my belly at the feet of an angel that stood way over nine feet tall. In front of her was a guardian spirit, a man I have seen many times that is ancient and looks after me. He gently grabbed my head and told me to lie still and he pushed my head down into water I was lying in about six inches deep. That made me react to going under the water like most people would be pulling my head up. He again said relax and believe and pushed my head into the water again.

As my face submerged into the shallow water I relaxed like I was in the pool at home and submitted to the guardians request. I then felt him lean across my body and blow a cool breath of air at the location where my back has hurt for many years. It was the coolest I have ever felt as if someone blew liquid ice across my lower back. But the difference was it did not hurt at all. I woke up instantly and my wife was lying in bed playing a card game on her phone. She knew instantly something amazing had happened and ask me what it was.

I felt my back and since I had been under the covers every part of my body was lukewarm due to being under the covers. Every part of my body except that one spot on my back. I was ice cold like an ice pack had been on it for twenty minutes. The pain had gone away and I was healed. I had also been praying about going back into football coaching and pursuing a head coaching job. But I knew that the back would not allow me to do that.

I fell back to sleep amazed that my back was not hurting and slept very well the balance of the night. I woke up and went to the bathroom early that morning, hopped right out of bed and went and walked normal for the first time in years. I went back to bed and was doing some meditating what I call “tunnel time” which is when I see, hear and feel spirit while I am vey relaxed. Just as I was ending tunnel time I heard a male say “he wants to coach again”. Then a female said “then go coach”. That was confirmation that I had been given a miracle and that God has a plan for me coming.

I am not sure where I will coach again, but I will soon and my back will not get into the way. Today I was a little sore after a lot of outside activity, but I continue to sleep like a baby with no moving around, tossing and turning. I walk upright as I should and feel very strong. I have been healed by the spirit of God and my guardian did it. I am Thankful for God, his grace, my Angels and Guardians. Ask yours for help, pray about it and be patient and a miracle can come your way.

Jeremiah 17:14; Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.

1st Samuel 12:16; Now therefore stand still and see this great thing that the Lord will do before your eyes.

Faith- Lukewarm Spirituality

I am 100% convicted of the title of todays faith based lesson. I have been a spiritual person since I was just a young boy but have had times in my life when I was lukewarm at best. In fact, I have been less than lukewarm at times in my journey with God. The bible refers to this as non being mindful or watchful of God’s work in your life. Life throws all kinds of curve balls at us and the Devil loves to step in and get between us and the Lord. Lukewarm spirit can be compared to lukewarm work habits, relationships and family matters.

If we are lukewarm we will face things that we are not prepared for and those things will take us down. We have to constantly be in prayer and seek guidance from God to make sure that we stay Red hot for God and not go lukewarm. You do not have to church every week to be red hot on fire for God. We choose our relationships with family, spouses, co-workers and God. We build habits within ourselves that determine how we do in these areas of our lives. Laziness creates lukewarm behaviors and lukewarm results.

God wants us to be more than lukewarm for him. He seeks us daily and consistently watches over us and wants us to reach back to him. We must not just seek him in bad times but at all times. God is never lukewarm and we should not be either. If we are lukewarm in a marriage then it will suffer. If we are lukewarm at a sporting event or when playing then out performance will suffer. If we are lukewarm at work then out performance will suffer.

I had to look at myself and think about my Luke warmness in life at times. I had to look at myself in all aspects to make sure I stayed on fire for God and that he can continue to influence me and lead me to what he wants me to be. Avoid be lukewarm by doing the following things in your life daily. This will keep you on fire in your relationships, career, outside activities and most importantly with God himself.

1- Pray everyday without fail. Failure to pray is failing to seek God in your life.

2- Check yourself to see where you stand in all aspects of your work life, family life and spiritual life.

3- Change what is broken. Get rid of old habits by creating good ones that are productive and never be lukewarm in anything you have passion about.

4- Work hard at all aspects of life and go for red hot in everything that is important to you.

5- Pray, Pray and Pray some more and watch God become red hot in your life.

2nd Corinthians 13:5; Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

Faith- Life Lessons #1

God has a plan for all of us, we have to ask for his guidance in the process and be obedient to him. There are two plans in life. Our plan and Gods plan and often the two are not the same. God is all knowing and has already planned our role in the world. We plan our own role as well and it often clashes and we somehow see things constantly getting in the way or progress towards our plan. God will not shut you down, but he can offer help if we seek his guidance in the process.

Humans tend to need and want things, it is a natural part of living.  What we often do not think about is what God needs for us to have.  Everything we own, work for, have, buy and accomplish is because we have a loving God that permits it. I look at my career, family, money, hobbies, health and other parts of my life as borrowed from God. We are all on borrowed time and with his blessings we will have the things we desire, need and want. Until those things get in the way of right, good, and just thinking, actions, behaviors and living.

He needs us to have a relationship with him, he wants us to honor him.  Honor God by honoring your commitment to him because he is 100% committed to you. Seeking a daily relationship with God is a must for me. I cannot imagine living without God interacting in my life, my family life and work life. I probably should restate the title of this paragraph to “We need a relationship with God” and that will honor him. Do everything with good intention, honor, commitment and faith and you can conquer the world in the process and achieve all your goals and dreams.

The bible speaks about desires of the flesh, getting lost in our way and being greedy.  Often, what we need is really not what we want.  I broke down and bought a new truck last week, well actually a good used truck bit compared to the old 1997 paid for truck I had it was a bigtime upgrade. I didn’t have to buy a truck but the time had come to where the old red one was starting to see its better life gone before it. I wrestled with the fact of spending money, buying a newer vehicle and using credit. Those are things I do not like to do. So I prayed about it, thought about, made a list of pros and cons about it and then made a decision.

Pray to God and ask for his guidance in buying, pursuing and having things. Ask God to show you the way. Be patient, observant and diligent in the way you pursue things using sound Biblical principals of finance, thought, behavior and work ethic and the world will treat you well. God will bless you, guide you and lead you to his plan and an ultimate victory for you. May God bless you and Keep you!

Spirit Chronicles- Psycho Steven on Row 3

I drove through a cematary the other night taking a short cut to grab some food in a small town near me. As I entered the cemetary I suddenly got the same feeling I always do when I am near a graveyard. Spirit senses that I can feel it, see it or hear it and comes after me trying to talk, attack or attach to me. The spirit realm is very powerful and most graveyards are littered with restless spirits that are confused, angry, in denial or just hanging out where they were last seen (their own grave). I knew this spirit was strong and older because it hit me hard in the gut (like being punched). I knew this one was going to be hard to deal with so I called to it and let it know that it could not harm me or hit me in the stomach.

Spirits impact me in two ways. If they are good I get tingly feeling all over my body, mostly around my head, neck and face. Bad spirits impact me in a worse way be hitting me in the stomach, chest or back of my neck trying to come at me and let me know it is there. Spirit comes at you just like it would have as a human either good or bad. To deal with this one I stopped and sat still and asked it to show me who, what or why it was coming to me. I instantly got the name Steven and soon after that third row. I got out of the car and had other spirit coming at me but this one was stronger and angrier than the others and drowned them out. I pushed the others away and told Steven I could help him to the light.

I asked him to show me why he was angry and I saw a vision of two men fighting in a room way back in the old days (probably early 1900’s) based on the clothing they were wearing and a lit candle on the table. The two of them were tussling, fighting and wrestling one another and Steven had the other man by the throat pushing him into the wall. The other man looked at me and the vision went away. I asked Steven if he was angry or died from the fight and he said “hung” and “square”. The small town I live near has a small square where the courts in the old days did all the trials and hanging in public.

I started feeling my air being pushed out of my chest and tightness in my throat which told me Steven had suffocated and could not breath. I also felt a sharp pain in the back of my neck which told me his neck had been broken during the hanging. I asked him if he murdered the other man and he said “Psychopath” back to me. I asked him if he was a psychopath and he responded “accident” and “angry”. I sensed that Steven and the man had fought and the other man died and he was labeled a psychopath, tried and hung for killing the man. I moved on after about ten minutes of working with Steven and ended the conversation as I always do with spirit.

I told him to go to the light, seek God and ask for forgiveness. I told him may God find him, give him peace and life everlasting. I told him he could not follow me home and to stay away from me unless I was in the area again. Steven went away and as I was driving up the road to exit the short road I heard a man say “pastor” and “believe”. I stopped and asked who that was but never got a response from any other spirit. I drove and grabbed some food and went on home. I did a cleansing before going into the house and wrote down what I had heard and experienced.

Later that night while asleep the guy Steven was fighting appeared to me and just looked at me like he was lost. I pushed him away and told him to go to God, find the light and that he was dead and could be saved. I did not see anyone else and rested peacefully that night. A few days later I drove into town and went to see if I could find the grave marker and found one on row three from the 1910’s era with the name Stephen. I assumed it was spelled the way I knew it and I cleansed the grave with a prayer and told him to rest in peace and seek God. I got no response from him but as I was leaving and feeling lots of peaceful spirit around me I once again heard “pastor”, “believe”, “yourself”.

God has been preparing me for a great spiritual awakening and these experiences are steps in the process of learning how to use a gift from God and do it to help others be it spirit or in real life. I thank God for his gifts and presence in my life today, tomorrow and forever.

John 14:1; “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

Amen

Faith: Christian Character

Being a person of faith requires us to be committed to a cause of good and right. We must stand firm, stand strong and be faithful in life. Today I was reading the Bible about good character and being a good person. Character is defined as the actions, reactions, morals, views and mental awareness of a person. God defines character in Galatians 5: 22-23; as “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law”. Lets take a quick look at each of these characteristics of a good person as given to us by God. These are his expectations for life and being of good character.

Love- Loving others is the first step to building relationships, managing relationships and living your best life. We have to love one another through the good, bad and ugly.

Joy- We must live a life of joy. We must have inner peace and joy in our lives to maintain a healthy relationship with people and God. God is joy so live life with joy.

Peace- Living a life that is full of strife, anxiety and craziness does not offer peace. We need peace in life to have a healthy attitude and mental outlook.

I could go on and on about all of these virtues, characteristics God calls us to have. I only ask that you sit down, do some thinking, do some research and reading about what it takes to be of good character. If you follow this simple verse from God’s word you can live your best life and meet his expectations along the way. Submit yourself to being kind, patient, loving, faithful, gentle and good. Read the verses below for more word of God on how to live your life and be the best character you can. That will let your light shine to others and make the world a better place for all.

Philippians 4:8; Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Romans 12:2; Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

1st Corinthians 15:31; Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

Faith- The Power of Prayer and Miracles of Healing

Today I am writing about a recent incident that happened lately to my wife and I. She was diagnosed with a torn tendon or ligament in her hip a few months ago and and had gotten to the point of almost struggling to walk at times. An MRI and x-Rays showed that she had a tear in her hip that was causing all the pain and discomfort. We scheduled surgery this week and immediately called in our prayer warriors at local churches, family and friends to lift her up in prayer. We were covered by prayer and the surgery took place. When the doctor went in to check the damage and fix things he seen that the tear was completely healed and gone away.

He told us after the surgery that all he had to do was clean the area up and did not have to fix anything bad. My wife was amazed and asked me what happened, how did this take place when the tear was clearly there a few weeks ago. I told her God was the great healer and when you are lifted in prayer by many God hears that and answers prayer. I firmly believe that my wife was healed by God and the prayer he heard from all my prayer warrior friends and family. There is power in prayer and miracles happen daily because of it.

I where a bracelet that says “I am with you always”. I truly believe that God is with me and my family all the time walking with us and talking with us. I encourage you to seek him, seek his counsel, seek his grace, seek his mercy and believe that God can and will help you. In your moment of weakness, doubt, fear, anxiety and obstacles call on God and wait patiently on his movement in your life. We later found out that my wife has a mass and had we not had the surgery for the tear that was not there we would have not found out about that.

That my friends is God at work. He does things his way, on his time and how he sees it working for us. We do not know our future, but we can know that if we ask we will have God in that future taking us in the direction we need to go to find ourselves and learn to believe.

Amen and Thank You God!

Mark 11:24; Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

2nd Corinthians 12:9; But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

James 5:14; Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

Spirit Chronicles: Heavenly Quartet

I was half asleep and had a full night of visions and dreams. As I was laying in bed trying to get motivated to start my day I suddenly heard beautiful music in my head. I found myself sitting in front of a stage and I was the only person there. I had been visited in my dreams the night before by a crew of devilish guys that are consistently trying to get me to turn away from God. I had prayed for guidance, grace and mercy and as I was relaxing I went into what I call tunnel mode. I can relax, close my eyes and be open to spirit movement and see things moving in and out of the spiritual realm. As I began to tunnel the Heavenly Quartet appeared before me and had a direct message for me.

They walked out on the stage and beautiful light shown above them and one of them began to hum. The melody was wonderful and they all started to hum. Then the four of them in perfect heavenly harmony sang this line only. It was amazing to hear and no earthly group could come close to the spirit that came from those Angelic Quartet members. As I sat alone they sang this line to me with a direct message from God. Here is what they sang to me. “I thank God for the role, in saving my soul”. I grew up singing, watching and attending Southern Gospel shows and love great groups as much as any other fan. My favorite groups couldn’t touch these guys and they just blew me away.

God has sent me a message of hope, peace, salvation and proclaimed to me that what I have been seeking, praying for and working hard in is still his plan. I knew the song was meant for a friend of mine that I had spoken to the day before over the phone. He told me he had begun singing again and was looking for songs and men to sing with in a group. I messed around with a few part time quartets in my life but never took it real serious to make a living. My friend is a phenomenal singer and preacher and I cannot hold a candle to him. I called him and told him I had a song for him and let him in on the dream and vision. He instantly quoted me several Bible verses about it and I knew that song was for him.

After writing this story I will sit down and try to write the song that I was given by Gods Heavenly Quartet. What an amazing God we serve. So powerful and wonderful at the same time. I know what I do is a gift from him so I try to share it to the world. I thank God for the role, in saving my soul. Ephesians 2:8; For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. Revelation 21:3; And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

Writing: Reasons To Write A Book/Blog

Let me begin by stating that if the #1 intention of writing a book or blog is to make a bunch of money then you might want to check yourself. I am not saying it cannot happen, but if you go into it with the goal of making $ then you might be off track from the get go. I know some very qualified and experienced writers/bloggers that write and never make a dime. There are literally millions of books and thousands of blogs on the internet to read. I write my blog and have wrote two short books because I like to write, share life stories and motivate others to become more than who they are. Along the way, if I gather a small or large following and sell a few books then great. If not, then I will still sit down, seek inspiration and write daily. Writing is my therapy and something that allows me to bring back old memories, good times and get inspired for life.

So know you know my reason for writing a blog which again is to share, motivate, inspire and offer general guidance to people that like to read what I write. Writing and blogging takes practice and just as I have done for over 20 years in the coaching and educational industry I blog daily to get better. Practice may never make you perfect, but it can make you much better than you were yesterday. I write things down to seek inspiration and guidance. Today for example, my wife and I were cleaning out our garage and I found a box full of old GI Joes, Hot Wheels, Match Box Cars, plastic soldiers, and other things I collected and played with as a child in the late 60’s and 70’s. That inspired me to write about those memories, toys and growing up in the 70’s and 80’s.

Enough of my blabber about why I blog and my inspiration. Now I will give some sound, basic reasons why you should tell your story by writing a book or blog.

1- Everyone has a story to tell. We all have a story to tell and it will help others to read it. \

2- Writing is therapy for the mind, body and soul. Writing clears the mind and allows you to just sit down, relax and put your thoughts on paper.

3- Writing can be a part time or fulltime gig. You may make money and you may not. Either way it can be developed and with the right connections, focus and a bit of luck you can hit it big.

4- Writing a blog forces you to confront your past and think about your future. Writing your story and putting it all out there helps you heal.

5- Writing is challenging and fun. I love to write and never will claim to be a great writer. I am beginning to build a decent following, but as stated above if I was after money I would open a business and dedicate the time I put into writing into that instead.

6- You are an expert at something. I know people that are experts at teaching, coaching, mentoring, preaching, making things, cooking, business ownership, being a mom and so many other things. Use that platform to reach people and give them advice and knowledge.

7- Writing and blogging is part of life long education. You do not have to be a professor of English Literature to be a writer.

8- You can tackle new challenges, conduct research and write about human interest things. People love a good story so tell them a story (hopefully true stories).

9- You discover hidden talent and grow as a person.

10- Writing develops people skills, communication skills, thinking skills, soft skills and many other qualities we need in life.

Grab a pen and paper or your laptop and start jotting thoughts and ideas down. Next thing you know, your a blogger/writer and will see people reacting to your thoughts, ideas, advice and life story. Happy Writing!

Travel: Five Reasons To Visit the Mountains

Five Reasons to Visit the Mountains

Visiting the mountains for a day trip, a weekend getaway or for a vacation is a fabulous idea.  The mountains offer so many advantages that you cannot find in other areas of your state.  If you are not fortunate to have mountains then go a few states over and spend some time there.  I will be in the mountains this week over spring break and know I will be getting some writing inspiration from the visit.  My wife and I go to the mountains about two to three times a year to get away, get renewed and refresh.

I can think of many reasons why you should go to the mountains and visit, but will only list my top five during this brief blog post.  As I write we are packing our bags for a wonderful week away from stress, anxiety, kids, work, and all the other things that we do daily.  Just the wife and I chilling out, sightseeing and looking for some new waterfalls in the North Carolina mountains.

  1. Mountains are very old.  They are some of the oldest formations on Earth that were formed millions of years ago.  The beauty and history of the way they were carved out is a sight to see.
  2. Mountains offer some of the best and clearest water you can find anywhere in the world.  Mountain streams, creeks and lakes are beautiful and so pure.  Find a wonderful water hole, put your feet in that coldness and just enjoy.
  3. Mountains are the home to wonderful down home people.  Mountain folks are a special breed and are wonderful to meet and mingle with.  They are genuinely hard working family people that like the laid back style of living.
  4. Mountains offer the best picture taking opportunity.  Everywhere you go there is a chance to catch an awesome sunrise, sunset, animals, scenery, trees, nature, and all the special things you will not encounter in the city or flat land area.
  5. Mountains just allow you to get back to God.  The mountains bring me back, take me down a notch and restore my soul.  They are like clay that has been molded by God and offer a glimpse at nature and God’s mighty works.

I hope you take a mountain trip soon.  Get some pictures, hike, see wildlife, meet new people and reset your inner peace in the process.  If I get stressed out, anxious or just need a break I head to the mountains.

Daily Bread: Six Traits You Can Share With God

God has so many positive traits and my guess is they are almost countless. Today as I was praying and reading it hit me that as humans we have the potential to be more like our creator and savior. God has shown us through the creation of mankind and his constant gifts, care and patience the way to live a better life. As I read the bible today I wrote down some traits that we can develop or better develop on a daily basis that would allow people to see God in us. We can be a light to the world or a shadow in the darkness. I chose to be a light and will seek to find ways to be more like my creator in how I pursue relationships at home, at work, in the community and in the nation.

There are many misguided folks in our world. People that have lost their way and are struggling to find the light and get back. We as believers are obligated and called to witness God’s light to the world and change it one moment, one minute, one hour, one day and one year at a time. But to accomplish this we must change and grow our inner self by focusing on traits that will spread that light through our actions, behaviors, reactions, words, and relationships with others.

1- God is knowable: God is an open book that allows us to connect with him at a higher level. He forms relationships with us by letting us get to know him. He does that through his words, actions and involvement in our lives. We can do the same for our fellow mankind by allowing them to get to know us and see us or who we really are.

2- God is welcoming: He welcomes us all by giving the ultimate gift of his son Jesus Christ. He is open to relationships and connections with us and we must pursue that with him. We can be more welcoming to others, more open to who they are, more graceful in accepting others and their differences. We should welcome people into our lives so we can show them we love, care and want to support them like God does us.

3- God is creative: He created everything and is the master potter of clay. He forms us into creative beings that are capable of doing anything we desire if we seek him first. We all have some form of creativity and can make things. Sure, we cannot snap our fingers and create mankind, planets, stars and spirit. But we can use our gifts of creativity to create a better world through ideas, actions, building, innovation, brain storming and making a better life here on Earth for our children and grand children.

4- God is forgiving: Our father forgives us through grace and mercy constantly. He offers us the opportunity to seek forgiveness of our sins, transgressions and pitfalls in life. We must be more forgiving of others and ourselves. Not forgiving others is a plague on mankind that contributes to violence, poor decisions, broken relationships, broken homes, drug addiction, sexual addiction, alcohol addiction and all the other problems we create for ourselves. Ask first for forgiveness, allow others to be forgiven and the world will be a better place.

5- God is honest: What he said we can bank on. What he has promised we can trust in. What he has shown us is consistency. God is not a promise breaker, he is a promise keeper. He was honest in his words on how life is to be lived, how are actions, thoughts, behaviors and the way we chose to live our life’s will impact our eternal life. Some think God may not keep promises, but it is not him that is falling short, it is us as humans. We must be more honest with people, not coddle them or run from their problems. Tell the truth, be honest and hold yourself accountable as God would.

6- God is capable: God is the most capable of all to help, guide, lead, cure, fix, mentor, teach, coach, and show the way. We are all capable of so much more than we have accomplished in life. We are so much more capable of doing great things and being more like the person God wants us to be. To be capable you must first believe in yourself, a higher power and work hard to execute your capability. We may fall short because of human issues, but we are capable of beating all the sin, afflictions, addictions and setbacks in our live to be the absolute best we can.

Proverbs 3:6; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

2nd Timothy 3:17; That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Daily Bread: Nobody loves me like you love me Jesus

Nobody loves me like you love me Jesus

Today I woke up after a very restful night of sleep.  I had positive dreams, slept well and only had to get up a time or two for the bathroom. However, I was not feeling very motivated and seemed to be a bit testy and unappreciative of where I was at that moment in my life.  For some odd reason I just was not “feeling it” today”.  If you know me or read my blog you likely understand that I am generally a very motivated and cheerful person.

Today was just one of those days I guess and after a little self loathing and momentary period of doubt I rebounded back and by the time I got to work I was excited and ready to get after the day.  I have a plan for 2021 that includes growth in three areas as I come back from a tough 2020 and several health issues that took a lot out of me.

My plan includes spiritual growth, physical healing and better mental focus (mind, body and soul) are my three goals.  I wrote a plan and each day I look at these areas and focus on them (mostly) but lately for a few days I had lapsed some and took a step back in these areas.  2020 was a tough year for millions of people so I am not going to do the poor pitiful me routine about it.

Instead I will just say that my journey was one that included a bad case of covid that resulted in 7 days in the hospital and two heart scares in September and November.  During these life events I came to realize that I had work to do on my mind, body and soul.  I have been focusing on the 2021 plan for success in these areas and have made really good progress.

I have lost a total of 30 pounds between having covid and corrective measures in eating habits but the last few days I have been at a stand still.  I am doing the same things over and over but the results are not showing on the scale.  I was frustrated to see that for a few days straight so I was just being pissy for lack of a better term this morning.  I failed to remember that I have lost thirty pounds, improved my health, blood sugar levels and other things on my get better list.

I got stuck in the moment of pity and doubt because as a go getter and get after it, Seeing those results frustrated me to no end.  I have been spending time with God also daily but the last few it was just a quick prayer and move on.  That does not suffice and has to change as that time needs to be longer and more meaningful for me to gain the spiritual growth I want to attain.

I also want to grow my mind and do that by writing, reading, studying, meditating and other relaxing activities to spur mental focus and growth.  I have had a bit of writer’s block lately also and have lacked some motivation in that area also.  I use the word writer “lightly” as I am not sure I qualify as a true writer.  I really just look at blogging and writing a few books as mind, body and soul therapy.  I would love to have thousands of followers, but if my writing helps one person on a consistent basis and I never sold a book I can live with that.

With all this said and long winded story line beginning this morning I had an experience that happens to me quite often and I should learn from it going forward.  In my doubt, pity and temporary madness my God stepped in and shook my foundation a bit.  He sent me a direct message of hope, inspiration and love.  A message of hope, grace and mercy that abounds in me that I needed to keep in mind all day, everyday, every week, every month and every year.

We live back off the road about a half mile so on the way out I said a prayer asking for God’s grace, mercy, forgiveness and guidance as I felt ashamed for being so doubtful and in a bad mood this morning.  As I turned onto the main road a song came on called Nobody Loves Me Like You Love Me Jesus and I looked up and the sun was rising in the east and was so bright and beautiful.  The lyrics at that moment were talking about the sun rising and Gods present in our lives.  “Morning,

I see You in the sunrise every morning. It’s like a picture that You’ve painted for me: A love letter in the sky.”  I had just prayed for guidance so I could settle down, get focused up and move on with my day.  Seeing that sunrise and hearing those words blessed me and brought me back to the reality that I am saved by grace, offered mercy and healing by God daily.  He is the same today as he was yesterday and will never leave my side or forsake me.
