Lately, I have had several people ask me on my streams when I am helping someone connect with a loved one if it is “Christian” to do so or be involved in spiritual matters. That is an interesting question that will get a different answer from people based on how literally they take the word of the Bible, how they have been taught or how they think. I have always been infatuated with the matters of spirit and as a “light worker” or “medium” I know I love God and fully trust him.

Let me explain how I began to be able to help the living connect with the dead. I had a surgery and while under the knife I died for a few minutes and made the tunnel trip to Heaven. I experienced it and was sent back as it was not my time. When I woke up I was different and it was if a light bulb had went off inside my mind. I was suddenly open to hearing, seeing, feeling and experiencing things in the spirit realm I previously could not understand.

I have read the Bible, studied, read books and talked to some very trusted people I know. My Pastor even talked to me and told me he believed that God gives people the power of discernment. Lets define discernment before we continue forwatd with this discussion. In a Christian thought process discernment is the process or ability to recieve spiritual guidance and understanding. Part of being a medium is also to be able to discern the differences between good and evil spirits.

When you deal with spirit it is very common for both negative and positive spirits to connect with you. The trick is figuring out which is what and not getting too involved on the dark side. I have had to work on this and focus to see the truth behind which I am dealing with. I have dealt with very evil spirits “demons” and lots of light spirits “heavenly realm”. So back to the question I was ask because the young lady told me her Pastor told her she was dealing with the Devil only and that good spirits cannot connect her.

Her Pastor has been well read and is taking the Bible literally but is not realizing that it also talks about being able to get spiritual gifts from God to work on his behalf. My advice was that I think God would not give someone the ablility to help another human connect with a lost loved one and seek peace and closure in the process. How can that not be a positive thing and something that honors God. I am not here to tell you how it works or why, I am just staying that I am close to God and his spirit and the ability I have has changed lives.

I have seen brothers and sisters connect with siblings. Moms and dads connect with children. My mom and dad are in Heaven and connect with me. As I write this blog post spirit is hitting me very hard and letting me know that I am seeking the truth. One of my best friends and advisors is very gifted and so close to the Holy spirit. I am closing with some scripture about both arguments. I stand to say God gave me a gift and I will use it to help those find the light.

I will use it to seek a closer relationship with God. I will use it to be part of the solution and not the problem. I will think independently and seek the truth about it.. Along the way I will learn from mistakes and grow my spiritual awareness which will help me be better at what I can do.

1 John 4:1; Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
