Psalm 46:10- Be Still and Know I Am God

I was lead to this verse today as I was praying and thinking about a writing subject. I have had my fair share of things go wrong in life with my health that have lead me to rely heavily on my wife, kids and God. In Psalm 46:10, it tells us to be strong and know that God is in Control. I am going to break this down by verse and see what I can grow from it as I take each part and disect it down to common sense thought process. Thank You God for giving me this verse and I pray it lift people up and strengthen them when they most need it.

God is our refuge and strength,a very present help in trouble- I seek God daily, but sometimes he is my only refuge in life. I am wrong about this because I should be making him my refuge everyday, all day that I walk this life on Earth.

Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling- We face many troubles in life. We face things that are much bigger than us. But, nothing is bigger than our God. Remember that and be faithful and he will calm the waters and flatten the mountains.

Verse 10- “Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” 11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. God is our fortess, our rock, our strength and he wants us to trust and rely on him. Be of faith and seek his guidance when life gets hard. Know that he not only walks with, but carries you.
