From a recent vision I had I was given the verses of Titus 2:6-8. In these verses it speaks of young men being of self control in all they do. It speaks to being an example of what others should desire to be. Great human works of faith are done with dignity and integrity.
We all send a message to those we love, work with, and speak to on a daily basis. We should leave all opponents with nothing to say about us. Now that is a huge task as the human nature is to be competitive to others and want to be like them.
I write about this because I had been praying about this seeing all of the videos online of violence all across our land. People of different races fighting, attacking and hurting the other. I had asked God to counsel me on how to be a better husband, father, brother, friend, teacher, coach and most of all a Christian.
I asked God to show me how to help these young people overcome the current political, ideological and trendy things if current America. His answer was to continue to be a model for others. Huge task as I have my own backyard to cleanup. I am far from perfect so I seek Gods guidance to clean up that yard.
I convicted myself to do better. To be a better person. To lift others up. To lift myself up. To live my best life with integrity and control. God gives me these visions to share to others and to make me a better human being. If you are reading this please convict yourself. Sit down and make a list of the things you can do to live a life described in Titus 2:6-8.
Gods grace and mercy are always with us and he wants us to be the best we can and live a life of self control. We do not have to be perfect and will have flaws along the way. But we can look to God for help and know that he gives us grace, mercy and forgiveness for those faults and blunders.
