Friday night I was given a vision of a set of clasped hands and the words “pray without ceasing”. Saturday night I had a vision of a heart and the words “love without ceasing”. Putting these two together I determined that God was telling me to pray and love without ceasing. We are in a time when people are not praying and loving without ceasing. People teand to pray when times are hard and love when it is convinient for them. In the Bible we are told that “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”. “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints”.
In terms of love we are directed to “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things”. ““This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”. How can we pray and love without ceasing. Lets take a look at the scripture above to get some clues how to do this.
Praying- Key words are always, without ceasing, all circumstances, and in spirit. Does God mean to never stop praying? My take is he means to pray with intention and keep his spirit top of mind and soul at all times. Can we love at all times? That is hard for us humans to do but we can do it. Lets break down some key terms and thoughts on love. Patient, Kind, Enduring, bears all things, gives hope and endures. God wants us to pray and love without ceasing. He wants us to endure and be in his thoughts at all times.
