teach me lord, to know your way

Today I am writing about seeking Gods word and wisdom and knowing his ways. As humans we do not have the complete understanding that God wants us to have. We often close our minds, spirit and soul to his grace, mercy and understanding. I pray daily that I learn to seek his way and find a better way to be a husband, father, brother, coach, mentor and teacher. As a teacher, I am called by God to mirror his best qualities as best I can. I am to share his message and I do it by showing the kids that love, peace, grace, mercy and understanding is important. I do not preach to my kids or speak Bible to them. Instead, I try to lead them by example being a good human being that shows them the qualities that God wants us to have.

Sharing wisdom is the way God helps us and we can do the same with people that are around us daily. Dietrich Bonhoeffer once stated that , “Just as you do not analyze the words of someone you love, but accept them as they are said to you. So should you accept the word of scripture and ponder it in your heart”. Billy Graham stated “The bible is Gods word, given to us by God himself so we can know him and his will for our lives”. Work hard to know his will and the struggles we often face will fade away as God will take them from you.

Teach me Lord to know you ways. To know your will in my life. To accept the gifts you give us through grace, mercy and forgiveness of our human error. Teach me to be a better husband, father, brother, son, teacher, coach and mentor. In your most high and holy name I pray, Amen!
