If you live in the United States or another country that allows its citizens to vote freely in an election then you live in a mostly Democratic system. Today I am writing about 10 reasons you should vote. I am not making this about politics or which side to choose. I am simply stating the importance of casting a vote that helps decide the leadership of local state, territorial and national leadership. Voting is your way to say how you feel, what you believe in, what you set of moral codes are and how you feel about the state of your town, city, state, territory or country. Your person may not win and you may not be happy with the results. But, you should vote anyways and here are 10 reasons why.
1- Voting is a right: If you are allowed to vote then you should go out and do it. Your vote will help decide the leaders of tomorrow and possibly change the state of your local, state or national economy. It may change the tax system. It may change the laws you agree or disagree with. Go vote and do your rightful thing allowed by law. Be grateful that you can vote and that the government does not tell you how you will live and decide life things for you. That is communism and communism sucks!
2- Taxes, Money, Funds: Voting allows you to put the people in place that may align with your values on taxes, funding and money that is allocated to help people. Look at things such as inflation, pricing, taxation and other ways money is taken and spent from your hard earned money. Vote to keep it the same or change it!
3- Not Voting Makes Your Vote Not Count: Others will vote against you or with you. If you stay home and do not vote, then do not bitch and moan about it after the fact. If you are too busy to go vote or do what you need to do to vote. Then shame on you if you are unhappy with the results. You allowed your vote and voice to not be heard.
4- Voting Impacts Children’s Lives: Not voting impacts the future of your children. If you do not vote and allow things that you disagree with to take place then your complicacy is your fault. Go out and express yourself and values. Protect your children as you align your moral code. Your children and grandchildren deserve the best going forward so vote!
5- Voting Impacts Jobs: Go vote if you feel like the economy and jobs are bad. You company may move its operations overseas if you do not vote. The new leadership may have an agenda of other countries or big business first. They may accept profit over home town and local jobs. They may be willing to push for other industries that you do not agree with. Vote your values to protect jobs!
6- Voting Impacts Healthcare: Some are for free healthcare for all. Some are for large companies providing it at a cost. Some are for a taxed system of healthcare (Universal) insurance for all. Every program has its pros and cons. Vote for the one that meets your values and vote for the candidate that meets your values. However, you must do your research on these programs before doing it blindly, as a major change such as universal insurance can and would have tax implications on the average person.
7- Voting Impacts Federal Government Programs: In the USA, voting impacts federal tax dollar spending on healthcare, retirement programs, federal welfare programs, social programs, military, jobs, and immigration spending. Your vote counts in these areas. Vote your values and do your research first.
8- Voting Impacts Public Safety: Your vote impacts how law enforcement both local, state and governmental works. Vote based on your values but do your research. Would you really want to live in a society with no law enforcement or accountability to criminals? Would you want to live in a society that allows immigration with no vetting of who those people are? Is crime an issue in your area or state? These things are important as crime is one of the biggest impacts on human life. Getting robbed, beaten, hurt, raped, killed, and other crimes impacts you and your family. Vote to meet your values on Public Safety.
9- Voting impacts local, state and federal transportation: Your vote helps eliminate pot holes, broken bridges, bad roads and other issues on the highway. Vote for someone that wants to make sure you are safe to and from work, working out, going out to eat, getting groceries etc. Vote for infrastructural needs that you desire. Do your research on it and vote based on how you value things.
10- Get over it or on with it: Once you vote, get up the next day and go after Life. If your vote or candidate loses so be it. That is life and we lose and win at times. The difference is will you be a victim or go after life. You voted and got what you wanted, excellent so enjoy it because another vote will come around in a few years. If your person or party loses. Get over it, be a big boy or girl and go to work, live life and no let politics hold you back.
In America, we will have a huge vote on November 3rd that will decide in some cases the next 2-6 years of leadership in local, state and federal positions. If my candidate wins I will be at work on November 4th getting after life. If my candidate loses, I will be at work getting after life on November 4th. All I can do is vote based on my values, morals and belief system. All I can do is cast my God given right to a single vote. All I can control is my vote. All I can do is get after life regardless of the outcome. I can celebrate it. I can despise it. I can post about it. I can complain about it. But none of those last four will change what happened with my vote. So as I said, get after life, get over it, get on with it, get a life, stop being a baby, stop being a complainer, stop being a victim, stop rubbing it in. Just vote, shut up about it, keep it to yourself and see what happens knowing that everything that is pushed with the incoming parties agenda really only impacts a small percentage of people and likely not you.
Vote, Vote, Vote and Vote for change or the same!
God Bless America and God Bless you!
