Recently I have made many positive changes in my life. One of those and the biggest was dropping all soft drinks (I love Diet Mt. Dew/Diet Dr. Pepper). Doing this has made me feel so much better overall and I am having way less cramps. I replaced it with more water each day and it has saved a lot of money when we go out to eat. Getting a water saves a few dollars on every meal. Soft drinks are the biggest markup in a eating place and huge profit for them. I have added in more fresh fruits and veggies when I eat daily as part of my process. Inserting these into my meal plan instead of high carb foods was a simple change that reaped big benefits.
I have also stopped all sugary products including candy and drinks. I am a diabetic and this has been something I done years back, but on occasion I would have a half/half tea or a few pieces of candy. Now I only use sugar free candy (rarely) and drink unsweetened tea with some sweetner in it. Other changes has been eating less per meal, about five times a day and walking 3 days a week for about 35-45 minutes. These small changes have made a huge difference in my overall health and the way I feel and look.
Recap of Changes: No Soda/Alcohol, No Sugary foods/drinks, Lots of water, Lots of veggies and fruits, Walk, Run or lift weights, and do the small things that add up to big things.
“The way you do the small things, is the way you will do everything”. This is a random quote that hangs in my classroom on the door for my students to see. I love that quote and it tells me that I must be detailed and do the little things right and with intention. Those little things lead to much bigger and better results with the big things.
