Daily writing prompt
If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

I can play a radio and that is about all the musical talent I have other than singing in the Church Choir. I grew up in what I consider to be the greatest music of all the 1970’s and 1980’s. I do not have a lot of hair left at 58, but if I were to be someone else for a day. I would want to be a 1980’s hair band rock star playing in LA or NYC rocking out with Motley Crew, Tesla, Ted Nugent, Peter Frampton, Skid Row, 38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Night Ranger, G & R, Bon Jovi, Poison, Dokken, LA Guns and others. As I write I listening to Def Leppard rock “It’s Too Late”. I love 80’s music both what I call British Invasion and Hair Band. I would love to be on stage shredding a guitar and watching the crowd go wild. Man, that would be a dream gig and so much fun. I envy those that can rock out and play a guitar like that. I bought a guitar and amp a few years ago and got one of those apps that supposedly teaches you how to play. I realized that my fingers just are not made to bend or move like that and I sucked at it, so I will keep rocking the air guitar and air drums until the good Lord calls me home!

  1. Ah yes, unfortunately, a large part of the population is left to rock the air instruments. It does seem crazy, right? Shredding in front of a wildly excited crowd. Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed the read.
