Todays prompt asked me about what jobs I have had. In my lifetime I have worked at various places, especially since being a husband and father. Most of them were part time jobs I picked up in the summer, at night or when the family needed more income. A good father will provide for his family and will work like a plow mule if needed to do so. I have worked at the following that I can remember. Preface to all this as I am currently a career teacher and coach. I also operate a website selling 25,000 products drop shipping that is picking up good momentum. I write books, five published and one coming. I day trade 2-3 days a week during my lunch time also. I live stream also @TheCoachB on BIGO.
As you can see I like to work and I like to make money. It is not #1, but it does make the world I live in go around. Been working minimum of part time since I was 16 years old.
1- Farm Hand pulling tobacco, bailing hay and feeding animals
2- Carpet/Tile installer (for my dad in his second job)
3- Heating and Air Install/Service (for my Father-in-law) part time for several years
4- Construction of decks and patios (part time)
5- Holiday Inn Front Desk Clerk (Night Shift in collge)
6- Truck loader and delivery driver (part time in my 30’s)
7- Medicare insurance sales (September-October Open Season)
8- School Teacher/Coach
9- BIGO Live Streamer
10- Book Writer/Blogger
11- Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
12- Sales Manager Pepsi Cola
There are others but this is the list I could think of. Our work and life journey takes us to many places, jobs and career opportunity. The bulk of these were part time summer work since I am a coach and teacher 10 months a year. I sold the insurance products for several years and the money was good for nights and weekend work over a 6 week period. Truck driving was good part time money but was hard part time on the family. All this gave me what I call life skills where I learned to do things, work on things, use my brain, use my hands, and build skills that many people are not willing to build in today’s world of instant satisfaction.
My suggestion is do what you have to do as long as your health is holding up. A solid part time job or side job can make you 10’s of thousands and put you and your family on track to live your best life. “You can sleep when you die”. “Pay now so you can play later”
