People that are genuine, kind, passionate, caring and considerate of others are the folks that I admire. People that are down to salt of the earth good folks that love family, friends, value faith and a better way of life. People that work hard and push through the hard times I admire. Folks that give up, struggle due to bad decisions, criminals, and others I do not admire. People that promote hate, violence, racial tensions, welfare, poor work ethic, lack of accountability get no admiration from me. I want to be around people that get after life and give it their best effort. Not people that make excuses, say I am sorry a thousand times and continue to do the same stupid stuff over and over. I admire people who stand up for the weak and fallen. I admire police officers, firefighters, teachers, coaches and other public workers that grind everyday in the face of adversity. They should be admired for putting up with all the nonsense that they see with criminals, students, parents, drug addicts, and the public. They get torn down and ripped apart for being a good genuine person that works to make lives better. Then the people they serve attack, tear down and rip at them because of a lack of moral character. I admire people with good ethics that can be trusted and are responsible. I admire the single mom that works three jobs because her ex is a dead beat. I admire pastors for the hours they put in and the people they serve. It is a thankless job. I admire moms that take care of their kids and family. I admire blue collar folks that hammer it out daily and grind to take care of the family, house, bills and all the other stuff. I do not admire people that use race, gender, or other identifiable characteristics to promote themselves or tension among people. Basically I admire good people that do good things. I put no trust or admiration in sports stars, movie stars, politicians or others of fame. They are people too and if they do the right things then I will admire them. I admire my wife and grown children because they are good, salt of the earth people.
